An exhibition of miniature creations has been launched in Shanghai Magnolia Plaza in Hongkou district.
Called The Miniature World, the exhibition features miniature models which showcase the culture and history of Shanghai and some European landmarks such as the Vesuvius Volcano in Italy, the Alpine pastures in the Swiss Alps and the Stuttgart Playground in Germany.
Some of the exhibits about Shanghai include the Shanghai Bund Meteorological Signal Tower, the Customs House and the former British Consulate.
To prepare for the exhibition, the creators spent more than 4,000 hours reviewing more than 1,000 books, 100,000 pictures and video materials before creating the exhibits. They also consulted over 300 scholars and experts.
