The Yuanshangcao nature reserve center said field surveys and infrared cameras collected thousands of photos and video footage of snow leopards, a critically endangered species in China, from Oct. 12 to 17. Years of effort have improved ecological conservation at the headwaters area of the Yellow River, which is part of the larger Sanjiangyuan National Park. Sanjiangyuan is home to the headwaters of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers and many rare wildlife species. (Photo provided to China News Service)
