U.S. police are responding to reports of an active shooter situation in Jersey City, northeastern U.S. state of New Jersey, on Tuesday, said Jean Jadezaia, spokeswoman for the Hudson County Sheriff's Office. Injuries include at least one police officer, who was shot in the head and critically wounded, a senior official told local media. The shooter fired from a bodega in the Greenville area, the southern portion of Jersey City, an NBC News report said, citing law enforcement sources.
