A historic and cultural city, Macao boasts a diverse city landscape that blends Eastern and Western features, traditions and modern dynamism.
"Fusion", an exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing through Nov 30, celebrates Macao's multi-dimensional development in art and marks the 20th anniversary of China resuming sovereignty over Macao in December 1999.
Classic Chinese ink paintings and calligraphic works are on display to demonstrate local artists' efforts to continue and preserve Chinese cultural traditions.
Oil paintings, sculptures, watercolors and mixed-media works also show the influence of international art movements.
