A French Gendarme and rail workers stand near an embankment (C) that slid onto the rails causing a high-speed TGV train locomotive to derail, seriously injuring the driver and hurting 20 others. The bullet train was heading to Paris at a speed of around 270 km/h when the locomotive ran off the tracks near Ingenheim, around 30 kilometres northwest of Strasbourg.
