Xie took the gold medal in the men's 3m springboard at the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday with 558.74 points, becoming the second male diver to win the individual and synchronised events at the same Olympic Games since China's Xiong Ni in 2000.
Xie’s teammate Wang Zongyuan took the silver with 534.90 points, followed by Britain's Jack Laugher with 518.00.
