Fang Hong, who formerly worked as a teacher, resigned in 2014 and started a craft-making company in her hometown, eastern Chinese Anhui Province. The company mainly makes use of materials growing in the hometown such as willow branches, twigs of tea, and mulberry.
The raw materials turn to delicate crafts after processing, which has been exported to 30 overseas countries and reached over 28 million yuan (about 4 million U.S. dollars) in revenue per year.
