Cargo throughout of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port increases 5.3% YOY(1/4)

Cargo throughout of Ningbo-Zhoushan port totaled 826 million tons in the first eight months, up 5.3 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the container throughout at the port reached about 2.14 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), a year-on-year growth of 14.7 percent.

Its annual total cargo throughput topped the world list for the past 12 consecutive years.

The Port has 19 sea-rail combined freight trains so far, with its service covering 60 prefecture-level cities from 16 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. The container throughout of sea-rail combined service at the port stood at 778,000 TEUs in the first eight months this year.
