The sacrificial ceremony to Matsu (the folk sea goddess in southeast China), listed as national intangible cultural heritage, was held in Putian on Monday. The ceremony is as popular as the sacrificial ceremony to Chinese nation's primogenitor the Yellow Emperor or Huangdi, and Master Confucius.
