Chengtoushan site is located in Li County, Changde City, Hunan Province. The site, dating back about 6,000 years, spanned from the Daxi to the Shijiahe cultures. It represents the height of the development of the Neolithic Age civilization in the Yangtze River basin of China. More than 16,000 cultural artifacts, including a large volume of earthenware, were unearthed at the site.
