Originally built in 1917, the estate, formally called Filoli Historic House and Garden, boasts 2.6 square kilometers along the slopes of California’s coastal range. The property features a 5,000-square meter Georgian revival-style mansion, 65,000-square meter English Renaissance gardens. In 1975, it was opened to the public as a nonprofit organization.
