Built in 1439 of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) along Beijing's central axis, the Zhengyangmen Archery Tower reopened to the public on Thursday.
As one of the 15 heritage sites along Beijing's Central Axis, the Zhengyangmen Gate comprises two structures: the gate tower to the north and the archery tower to the south. The Beijing Central Axis, known as Zhongzhouxian, was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in July 2024.
