Five second-tier cities－Chengdu, Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan and Xi'an－displayed an obvious advantage in their digital talent pools over others in the past three years, although Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou, which is the base of e-commerce behemoth Alibaba, remain the five leading cities in this area, according to the report based on user data by LinkedIn, a US-based networking website.
基于职场社交平台领英用户数据的一份报告显示,过去三年中,成都、苏州、南京、武汉以及西安等五个二线城市在数字人才库方面表现出明显优势,不过,上海、北京、深圳、广州,以及阿里巴巴总部所在地杭州依然是数字人才数量最多的五个城市.
本次研究筛选了其中72万数字人才（digital talent）,多维度提取用户画像并跟踪其职业轨迹,以此预测不同地区的人才流向（talent flow）、雇佣率（employment rate）、受雇主欢迎的技能（skills favored by employers）等人才趋势层面的信息.
报告显示,中国数字人才的分布与数字经济的发达程度表现出高度一致性（the distribution of digital talents is highly consistent with the development of digital economy）,数字人才分布最多的十大城市依次为：上海、北京、深圳、广州、杭州、成都、苏州、南京、武汉和西安.
报告显示,约50%的数字人才分布在互联网、信息通信等ICT基础产业,其余分布在以制造（manufacturing）、金融（finance）和消费品（consumer goods）为首的传统行业.
从职能角度而言,目前中国85%以上的数字人才分布在产品研发类（product research and development）,而深度分析（in-depth analysis）、先进制造（ advanced manufacturing）、数字营销（digital marketing）等职能的人才加起来只有不到5%,新兴技术人才和创新型人才培养方面存在滞后和不足.
