1. Guangzhou Ferris Wheel: world's highest
With the promise of a ride and a view like no other, the world's highest Ferris wheel opened on top of the 450-meter-tall Canton Tower in Guangzhou two months ago.
Thrill-seekers can jump aboard one of 16 transparent pods that circle around the edge of the tower's roof at a 15 degree incline, and take a ride that lasts between 20 to 40 minutes.
The wheel can hold 96 passengers and costs 130 yuan ($19) to ride. It offers a 360 degree view of the city in friendly weather.
