(ECNS) -- China's first private 5G satellite is expected to be put into orbit via Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) rocket by the end of December.

It is the first Q/V band and 200-kilogram satellite independently developed by China's commercial aerospace company GalaxySpace.

With an orbit altitude of 1,200 meters, it will cover 300,000 square kilometers, roughly equivalent to 50 Shanghai cities.

Low-orbit broadband communications satellites will connect 4 billion information poor users to the Internet.

The company will develop more low-cost, high-performance 5G satellites, and build space Internet and bridge digital gaps, said Xu Ming, founder, chairman and CEO of GalaxySpace.
