Bus crash kills 1, injures 4 in SW China's Sichuan

(ECNS) -- A bus crash that occurred on Monday in Neijiang, Sichuan Province killed one person and injured four others, local authorities said.

According to a report released by local traffic police, at around 8:47 a.m., a bus with a license plate K6XXX2 lost control due to the driver’s sudden illness and crashed into pedestrians at the intersection of the Hanan Avenue and Jianshe Road in Dongxing District.

Both the driver whose family name is Chen (male, 49 years old) and the injured have been sent to hospital.
