China-made diesel locomotives exported to Africa
(ECNS) -- A batch of Chinese diesel locomotives was seen fully packed at Zhanghuabang cargo wharf of Shanghai Port on Tuesday, ready to be shipped to Conakry, capital of Guinea.
The ten diesel locomotives, designed for heavy loads and various track compatibility, are tailored to meet the specific transportation needs of bauxite mining operations.
This type of diesel locomotives will continue to be shipped from Shanghai Port, further enhancing the global presence of China’s homegrown brands.
Customs clearance at Shanghai's Wusong Port has been tailored to the characteristics of export goods, optimizing port inspection processes. This allows for immediate inspection upon arrival and quick loading, reducing cargo dwell time at the port.
Statistics show that a total of approximately 730,000 metric tons of goods were exported to Africa through Wusong Port in the first 11 months of this year, including large electromechanical equipment, steel, engineering machinery, engineering vehicles, and large passenger vehicles.
