More direct flights to link China’s Hainan with Mongolia
(ECNS) -- The number of Sanya-Ulan Bator international flights will increase staring from Dec. 11, according to Sanya Phoenix International Airport.
The round-trip flight between Sanya and Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia, will be operated once a week using the A321neo aircraft.
Flight HO1527 will depart Sanya every Tuesday at 9:55 p.m. (local time), arriving in Ulan Bator at 3:00 a.m. the following day. The return flight, HO1528, will leave Ulan Bator at 4:00 a.m. every Wednesday, landing in Sanya at 9:10 a.m.
The newly added direct flight, operated by Juneyao Air, marks the launch of an international route undertaken by a domestic airline.
This brings the Sanya-Ulan Bator international route to four weekly flights. So far, the airport has operated 27 international routes in 2024, connecting to 20 overseas cities.
Next, it plans to open more international flights, including Sanya to Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, further expanding its regional and international passenger flight network.
