China adds four more U.S. entities involved in arms sales to Taiwan region

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced on Wednesday the inclusion of four U.S. companies - Pacific Rim Defense, AEVEX Aerospace, LKD Aerospace and Summit Technologies Inc. - involved in arms sales to China's Taiwan region on the unreliable entity list.

This decision was made to safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, and in accordance with relevant regulations, the MOFCOM said. This announcement takes effect immediately.

Corresponding measures will be implemented, including prohibiting these companies from engaging in import and export activities related to China, banning new investments in China, restricting senior executives from entering the country, denying or revoking their work permits, and canceling their eligibility for stay or residence in China, per the MOFCOM.

On Tuesday, the MOFCOM announced a decision to add seven U.S. companies to the unreliable entity list for participating in arms sales to the Taiwan region.

The seven companies include Inter-Coastal Electronics, System Studies & Simulation, IronMountain Solutions, Applied Technologies Group, Axient, Anduril Industries and Maritime Tactical Systems.

Recently, the U.S. has repeatedly sold weapons to China's Taiwan region, seriously violating the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint communiques, gravely breaching international law, and endangering peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits, a spokesperson from the ministry said on Tuesday.

The spokesperson emphasized that China approaches the list of unreliable entities with prudence, targeting only a handful of foreign entities that threaten China's national security, and foreign entities that are honest and law-abiding have nothing to worry about.
