CCG takes measures against Japanese vessel illegally entering waters off China's Diaoyu Islands

Japanese fishing boat Zuihou Maru illegally entered Chinese territorial waters off Diaoyu Islands on Thursday. China Coast Guard vessels took necessary control measures in accordance with the law, warning and driving it away, according to CCG spokesperson Liu Dejun. 

Liu said Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands are an inseparable part of the Chinese territory, urging Japan to immediately cease all illegal activities in these waters. 

The CCG will continue to carry out law enforcement activities to safeguard national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests in the territorial waters of the Diaoyu Islands, Liu said.
