Doctor saves girl's life in elevator by using Heimlich maneuver

(ECNS)--Tan Yi, an anesthesiologist at a hospital in Xiangtan, Hunan Province saved a 2-yr-old girl in a lift.

Tan came across a scared mother holding her choking daughter in a lift.

Tan immediately took the girl and performed the Heimlich maneuver.

After thumping the girl's back gently several times, the 2-year-old burst our crying.

When the lift door opened, the chocking girl had escaped danger.
