Gun violence: incurable disease of the U.S.

June is observed annually as Gun Violence Awareness Month in the United States. Over the second weekend of June, at least eight mass shootings occurred nationwide. Gun violence is a chronic issue in the United States. Its entanglement with gun culture, individual rights, interest groups, and partisan politics has long afflicted American society, severely violating the right to life and leaving an indelible mark on the nation's human rights record.
