Insights | Head of ASEAN University Network: Deepening cultural exchange of ASEAN-China contributes to regional peace

(ECNS) -- The 44th and 45th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and related summits were held recently in Vientiane, capital of Laos. This year marks the 2024 ASEAN-China year of people-to-people exchanges.

Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network Choltis Dhirathiti said in an exclusive interview with China News Network that people of Southeast Asia and China live in the same region and share certain cultural traditions and values, which help to deepen cooperation between universities in China and Southeast Asia.

He noted that deepening cultural exchange between China and ASEAN contributes to regional peace.
