In Chinese culture, mountains and water represent the concept of landscape through a synecdoche. In Xinjiang, there is a famous place where mountains and water meet in perfect harmony.

However, when you look at the horizon, there is a temple on top of one of the mountains.

It is the abode of Xiwangmu, a Taoist deity who can grant immortality. To become immortal in Taoism, it is necessary to find total harmony with nature, to become one with the landscape. To do this, you need to visit Xiwangmu and wait for enlightenment about the cycle of life, something that can take a lifetime.
