(W.E. Talk) PKU scholar: China's carbon neutrality goals enjoy distinctive wisdom under rural revitalization practices
The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), or COP29, is currently being held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22. China's contribution to global climate governance has been praised by the international community.
Speaking on the integration of China's rural revitalization strategy with its carbon neutrality goal, Wang Binbin, founding director of climate future global innovation lab at Peking University and also a Yale World Fellow, said in the latest W.E. Talk, that China can take a more comprehensive approach to respond to climate change, and analyze its rural revitalization strategy in a multi-dimensional way, to make it more forward-looking.
Wang further pointed out that the vision is grounded in China's reality, representing a distinctive contribution of Chinese wisdom to the world. (Xue Lingqiao and Lin Zhuowei)
