The second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held from Tuesday to Saturday in Beijing. During an interview, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Representative ad interim in China Vinod Ahuja told China News Network that global agriculture is facing a lot of challenges, therefore, it needs a transformation by reducing carbon and water footprint of agriculture and making the whole supply chains much greener.
In this regard, Ahuja spoke highly of China’s progress and commitment, noting that China’s innovative technologies and policy measures can ensure China’s achievement of both food security and green development. And Ahuja also mentioned that China can provide valuable lessons for the rest of the world, especially countries in South Asia and Africa. (Chen Tianhao, Zhao Li)
