The China Strategic Culture Promotion Association (CSCPA) released Tuesday in Beijing the Report on U.S. Military Power 2014. This was the fourth report of its kind released by the Chinese non-governmental think tank. Except the first report, the later three all have English versions.
Totaling 41 pages and about 24,000 characters, the report consists of six chapters, namely defense strategy, military strength and deployment of military forces, national defense budget and weapon and equipment R&D, new development in operational theories, alliance and partnership, and military exercises.
Previously, CSCPA released reports on the U.S. military power on June 5 of 2012, July 19 of 2013 and July 23 of 2014 respectively.
Founded in Beijing on January 5, 2011, CSCPA is a national nonprofit and non-governmental organization comprised of experts, scholars, societies and social activists engaged in the study of international issues, the Taiwan question and cultural subjects. It is aimed to promote security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and the peaceful development of both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
