The anti-THAAD sentiment continues to run high in South Korea's Seongju county, where the missile defense system will be deployed.
Local residents are set to stage a mass rally opposing the decision. The Anti-THAAD Committee of Seongju said over 800 people have signed up for a "haircut protest" today. The protest will coincide with the country's "National Liberation Day".
Seongju residents say the THAAD deployment makes their county a military target AND complain that it carries potential threats to the environment.
