The Chinese army will take part in international military games hosted by Russia from July 29 to August 12, said Defense Ministry spokesperson Yang Yujun on Thursday.
Six parts of this year's competitions will be held in China, including air-defense missile contests and reconnaissance for biological, chemical or nuclear weapons in a training base in Korla City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, an aviation game in Jilin Province as well as an airborne test in Hubei Province, Yang said.
"We would like to work with Russia to promote military relations between the two sides and make contributions to safeguarding our common interests, and regional and world peace and stability," Yang said.
