U.S. Navy said Sunday that the remains of all 10 missing sailors from the USS John S. McCain have been recovered almost a week after the warship collided with a merchant vessel.

The cause of the incident was still under investigation, the U.S. Navy said in a statement released Sunday on its website.

The guided-missile destroyer collided with an oil tanker east of Singapore last Monday, leaving 10 missing and five injured. The injured have all been released from hospital.

The incident also marked the fourth such involving a U.S. warship this year.

After the collision, U.S. Navy immediately announced an operational pause of its fleets globally and a comprehensive review of the U.S. Pacific-based 7th Fleet.

The Navy also removed Vice Adm. Joseph Aucoin, the head of the 7th Fleet, in connection with the four accidents. The highly decorated naval aviator, who had been expected to retire in the coming weeks, is replaced with Rear Admiral Phil Sawyer.
