Two more Indian naval ships, Kulish and Battimalv, along with one Indian Navy Dornier aircraft, are due to call at Myanmar's Yangon Port later on Monday as part of the ongoing bilateral mechanism between India and Myanmar, said a report of the official Global New Light of Myanmar.
The three-day call at Yangon Port will include activities for opening ceremony of the 7th India-Myanmar coordinated patrol which is to maintain maritime security within respective side of maritime boundary and enhance mutual understanding between navies through operational exchanges.
Other activities cover courtesy calls, sports and social interactions and visit to places of interest in Yangon.
INS Kulish is the third of indigenously manufactured Kora class guided missile corvettes commissioned into the Indian navy in 2001 with a crew members of over 120, while INS Nattimalv is a fast attack craft with top speed of over 28 knots commissioned into the India navy in 2006 with a crew members of 50.
In August, another Indian naval ship, Khanjar, also called at Yangon Port.
The INS Khanjar (P-47), a Khukri-class missile corvette, was commissioned into the Indian navy in October 1991.
