Established in 1999, the Group of Twenty (G20) is a leading global forum aims to promote economic, financial and political cooperation.
As a group of major economies in the world, G20 accounts for 85 percent of global economic output and 75 percent of world trade.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the G20 Summit and Argentina places development, fairness and sustainability at the forefront of the G20 agenda under the theme "Building Consensus for Fair and Sustainable Development."
"Growth has not benefited everyone, and this has undermined people's trust in globalization," written on this year's summit overview, "Ongoing concerns about inequality are a powerful, everyday reminder that we need to do more to ensure that growth is fairly shared."
