Zhang Shaochun, China's former vice minister of finance, pleaded guilty to charge of taking bribes at the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court on Friday.
The Second Branch of Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate said that between 1995 and 2018, Zhang had taken advantage of his posts and other state functionaries' duties to seek benefits for others and accepted a huge amount of money and property in return, with a value of about 66.98 million yuan (9.71 million US dollars).
The court ordered an adjournment and Zhang will be sentenced at a later date.
