A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Shufu County, Kashgar Prefecture in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 12:32 p.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 39.57 degrees north latitude and 75.59 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said in a statement.
