European aerospace giant Airbus said it had detected a "cyber attack" on its commercial aircraft business information systems, U.S. media reported on Thursday.
Airbus announced in a statement on Wednesday that the incident had no impact on its commercial operations, and it would probe whether the cyber attack was targeted at specific data, according to the website of U.S. media group Forbes.
Airbus employs some 129,000 people worldwide and has three divisions -- commercial aircraft, defense and space, and helicopters.
The company is expected to report this incident to the supervision authorities of the European Union as required.
