The fire that broke out in a factory in southwest Delhi's Naraina industrial area on Thursday morning is turning serious and yet to be extinguished, as more fire-tenders were called to the scene, said the Delhi Fire Department.
No death or injury was reported so far.
Speaking to Xinhua over phone, an official from Delhi Fire Department said "the fire is turning from bad to worse and fire fighting work is still going on at a war footing. More fire-tenders have been called for to douse the flames."
According to media reports, the ill-fated factory manufactures gift items such as greeting cards and perfumes, among others, and belongs to the "Archies" brand.
The Naraina industrial area houses a large number of factories making a wide range of products.
According to latest reports, at least 30 fire-tenders are on the spot trying to put off the flames.
Further details of the mishap are awaited.
Only two days ago, 17 people died in a fire in a hotel in central Delhi's Karol Bagh area.
