A three-storey building collapsed Friday in Nigeria's southwestern city of Ibadan with casualties feared, local police said.
The building collapsed in a residential area in Ibadan, capital of the southern state of Oyo.
It was an uncompleted building currently under construction, said Shina Olukolu, the police chief of Oyo.
Olukolu confirmed that three people have been rescued so far.
Local residents said the victims are mainly laborers working at the construction site.
Some residents have crowded the area, attempting to rescue victims trapped underneath the rubble.
The incident occurred two days after a similar collapse in the commercial capital Lagos claimed 20 lives, including school children.
