Due to the sighting of two drones, the Frankfurt Airport has ceased operations on Friday for almost half an hour, local media reported.
Flight operations were stopped immediately after two drones were spotted in the southern area of the airport. No planes were allowed to take off or land at the major German airport between 5:16 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. local time, said an airport spokesperson.
"As usual, the motto was safety first! Flight operation is back to normal following the federal police clarified the situation," the airport wrote on Twitter, emphasizing that there was "no chaos."
It is the world's eighth busiest airport, serving over 57 million international passengers a year. Enditem
