More than 3,000 public service positions that remain vacant are now open for applicants who passed the National Public Servant Exam, according to a notice issued by the State Administration of Civil Service on Sunday.
According to the notice, 3,046 positions are open. A rule states that the number of applicants should be at least three times the number of positions available to enter the interview stage, which means over 9,000 exam takers can apply.
People can apply for the positions from Monday to Wednesday in a supplementary enrollment procedure, the notice added.
The applicants for these positions should be exam takers applying for similar positions, and a person can only apply for one position. Applicants who have already been recruited cannot apply.
Authorities will review documents of the applicants on Thursday and Friday and publish a list of successful applicants on the website of the exam. Applicants can check the result on the website on May 13.
A total of 920,000 people took the exam in December to compete for 14,500 positions. Only one out of every 63 candidates is expected to secure a government job this year.
