Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday awarded Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Li Hui with the Order of Friendship.
The corresponding presidential decree was published on Russia's official legal information portal.
According to the document, the ambassador was awarded for his contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries as well as his fruitful work on the convergence and mutual enrichment of their cultures.
A number of other Russian and foreign citizens were awarded with the Order of Friendship and the Pushkin Medal by the same decree.
