An explosion on Sunday afternoon hit western German town of Alchen, injuring 14 people.
The blast occurred in a traditional bake festival where around 100 people were at the scene. Some rain water possibly ran into the frying pan and triggered the fat explosion, according to local media FOCUS Online.
Local police, fire brigade and rescue workers rushed to the scene and had the fire put out.
The local police said a total of 14 people, aged 31 to 75 years, were injured and 6 of them in life-threatening conditions.
Some were transferred via helicopters to nearby clinics.
Criminal police are involved in investigating the cause of the explosion.
