Chinese fantasy film "Jade Dynasty" continued leading the mainland box office on Sunday, the China Movie Data Information Network showed Monday.
"Jade Dynasty," directed by Cheng Xiaodong, tells a story of a brave young boy who strived to change his own destiny.
The film raked in 42.63 million yuan (about 6.02 million U.S. dollars), accounting for about 28 percent of the daily total.
Coming in second was "The Fist of Blue Sapphire," the 23rd installment of the Japanese animated film "Detective Conan." The film grossed 30.13 million yuan on Sunday.
Chinese animated film "The Legend of Hei" moved up to the third place by raking in 23.47 million yuan on its ninth day of screening.
