The Chinese basketball association announced on Sunday that it will suspend all communication and cooperation with the Houston Rockets and voiced strong opposition to the inappropriate remarks concerning Hong Kong made by the general manager of the NBA team.
Daryl Morey, the general manager of the team, posted a tweet on Saturday saying he stands with Hong Kong rioters, which angered Chinese netizens who demanded the team fire him.
