The China Writers Association (CWA) has funded the publication of 80 works and supported 578 projects on ethnic minority literature since 2013.
The CWA's funding project supports the creation, publication and translation of literary works by ethnic minority writers, and also provides training for ethnic minority writers, according to the sixth symposium on ethnic minority literature Monday.
Over 30 ethnic minority writers were awarded by the country for their outstanding works, Qian Xiaoqian, the CWA's vice chairman, said at the symposium.
The symposium is jointly held by the CWA and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission on Monday and Tuesday in Beijing.
"The CWA will continue our funding programs to further develop ethnic minority literature and train more ethnic minority writers and translators," said Qian.
