Six units of 5G ambulances will be used for medical security at the upcoming second China International Import Expo, the news portal thepaper.cn reported on Wednesday.
This year's medical care will utilize 5G technology to set up a mobile medical security platform that will cover the whole venue, said thepaper.cn citing the Shanghai Health Commission.
The 5G ambulances and local hospitals - Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Tongren Hospital Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University - along with artificial intelligence and augmented reality technologies, will constitute a 5G medical security system to serve the CIIE event.
Besides necessary first-aid equipment, the new ambulances feature an improved emergency medical security platform that can show the patient's name, gender, age, electrocardiograph and monitoring information. This information and the location of the moving ambulance can also be transmitted in real time to a medical emergency center, thepaper.cn said.
Through the platform, doctors can see patients' information in advance to prepare in time for an operation, which shortens the time to rescue critically ill patients, said thepaper.cn, citing an official at Shanghai Medical Emergency Center.
