Chinese comedy film "Adoring" remained on top of the Chinese mainland box office Monday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Tuesday.
The film raked in over 18.02 million yuan (about 2.59 million U.S. dollars) on its seventh day of screening, accounting for about 30 percent of the daily total.
"Adoring" revolves around six warm stories about pets and their owners during different ages, and their journeys to find and appreciate love.
It was followed by "Ip Man 4," the latest installment in the Chinese martial arts film franchise "Ip Man" based on the life of a legendary Wing Chun master.
The film grossed nearly 12.61 million yuan on its 18th day of screening, with its total box office reaching 932 million yuan.
"Sheep Without a Shepherd" ranked third with ticket sales of nearly 10.52 million yuan. The film has grossed 955 million yuan after its release.
