Discipline inspection and supervisory agencies across China punished 587,000 officials over discipline violations in 2019, including 41 at the provincial and ministerial level, the top anti-graft body announced Friday.
About 4,000 officials at the prefecture level and 24,000 at the county level were punished, according to figures from the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission.
The officials punished were implicated in 619,000 cases.
Discipline inspection and supervisory agencies received more than 3 million public tip-offs in 2019, according to the top anti-graft body.
