A group of unknown armed men entered a house in the Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday and killed four members of a family, including three children, Interior Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said Monday.
According to Rahimi, the unidentified armed men sneaked into the house of a government employee in Police District 7 on Sunday evening and brutally killed four members of the family, including the mother and three children.
It was the second brutal killing of family members in the war-battered country over the past three days.
In a similar gruesome incident on Saturday, some unidentified armed men entered a house in Andkhoi district of the northern Faryab province, killing four members of a family, provincial police spokesman Abdul Karim Yurash said.
Rahimi said investigation is underway to identify and bring to justice those behind the crime.
