An explosion occurred Friday morning near the headquarters of the U.S. Embassy in Tunis, capital of Tunisia, Tunisian Private radio Mosaique said.
The attack took place in the northern suburbs of the city where "a terrorist aboard a scooter blew himself up near a fixed security patrol on the road leading to the U.S. embassy," said the Mosaique Fm.
"The attack injured five among the police, pending official confirmation from the Tunisian Interior Ministry," it added.
