Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for tighter supervision of workplace safety to effectively safeguard the safety of people's lives and property.
As the country is resuming work and production, it is necessary to strengthen monitoring and law enforcement of production safety and better implement the responsibilities of market entities, said Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, in an instruction.
